The question that has crossed generations is simple yet profound: What happens after death?

Death is not the end, but a separation. The physical body returns to dust, but the spirit continues to exist.
“Then the dust will return to the earth as it was, and the spirit will return to God who gave it.” — Ecclesiastes 12:7
This shows continuity after death. Human beings do not cease to exist. They enter eternity.
Is There Life After Death?
Yes. The Word of God confirms that there is life after death.
Jesus taught this in the account of the rich man and Lazarus (Luke 16:19–31). Both died, yet both remained conscious.
Lazarus was comforted.
The rich man was in torment.

What Happens to Those Who Die in Christ?

It is described as eternal separation from God.
God does not want anyone to perish (2 Peter 3:9), but He respects human choice.
What Determines Our Eternal Destiny?
Jesus answered:
“I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” — John 14:6
It is not religion.
It is not tradition.
It is not good works.
It is faith in Jesus Christ.
Why Do We Fear Death?
Because eternity is placed in the human heart.
“He has set eternity in the human heart.” — Ecclesiastes 3:11
But for those who are in Christ:
“Where, O death, is your victory? Where, O death, is your sting?” — 1 Corinthians 15:55
Jesus defeated death.
How Can You Be Sure of Eternal Life?
Salvation is by grace.
“For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith.” — Ephesians 2:8
Whoever repents and believes receives eternal life.
It is not based on feelings.
It is based on God’s promise.
